I've seen spirits subjectively (in my minds eye) very very often.
I've heard spirit music, and smelled odors objectively (as if it was really happening outside myself).
I have felt physical sensations and emotions communicated by spirits, and I've percieved words communicated by them. The perception of words is most peculiar, for me it is not really like hearing - either the words are in my mind or it is as if I am going to say them as if they are putting words in my mouth.
I know these perceptions are caused by spirits because I've taken classes in mediumship and my classmates verified they recognized the spirits I saw as deceased relatives. The places I felt sensations were the same areas that were diseased and caused their relative's death. One was a musician who played the type of music I heard, another was named Rose who made me smell roses etc. etc.
