I wouldn't consider China toy story as an unusual synchronicity. It's just all over the news.
Other events might be more interesting.
I've had some very interesting synchronicities myself.
Some say they are an effect of something happening when you meditate, use visualizations or other methods of Law of Attraction.
I think it can be attributed to raised attention to some events that have already happened in near past. It can be a sign that you are paying attention to your life and surroundings, and not just drift through space-time indifferently, which is a good sign by itself
