Great topic, Raincrow!
I'm very interested in the subject of human life force energy (qi, ki, prana) or whatever each system calls it. And it's great to find someone who's interested in these as well but, moreover, who's also studied various energy healing modalities. I've studied some Quantum Touch, EFT and other energy systems, so I understand what you talk about.
What I'm not sure, though, is that this energy is electrical in nature, as you propose. It doesn't feel like electrical, it doesn't behave like one and it's not directly measurable by electronic devices as far as I know.
That said, I don't exclude the possibility that it can influence some devices or electronic measurements. I've seen a paper by Dr. William Tiller who put an experienced meditator in a chamber, where he put wires around the person's position and measured deviations in electrical properties of the wires. He then saw, that when the meditator was asked to "radiate" his energy, there were readings on the wires at the same times.
Back to the energy source. From one point of view I find it disturbing that different energy healing systems display and teach of such different uses and sources of energy. On the other hand, sometime it seems that they talk of similar things but in different language and different uses.
Also, some systems are indeed different, like the chakra system coming from India (used in quantum touch and Reiki) and the meridian system, coming from Chinese medicine (used in EFT as well). These seem to be parallel system.
Donna Eden, author of Energy medicine book and the Energy Medicine Kit (see my
review of the energy medicine kit by Donna Eden) and who claims that she actually sees all these energy systems, writes that they both exist but have different purposes, so to speak.
It would be interesting to teach children about that as well, but I guess it's not suitable for most of them, since these are quite advanced concepts, not tangible and might be just too sophisticated for most children, in my opinion. But that also depends on what age you think of when you say "children".
