Exactly, DUKER and SkepticInYourHead,

This is a parlor trick, and nothing more. Geller was discredited and exposed as a fraud DECADES ago -- that people still believe he has real abilities, or that spoon bending somehow represents something supernatural, is completely baffling.

If you were to bend your spoon with your mind, wouldn't you be able to do it without touching it?

Apparently the spoon is supposed to get warm to touch and bend far easier than it should, as if it was partially melted for a minute or so. You shouldn't have to exert much force at all.

Don't know though, I've never tried it. Dean Radin claims that he was at a spoon bending party though and his spoon eventually bent and it was not from an unconscious force either as his hands did not show impressions that would be there if he had.

That's the theory, yes. As to Dean Radin, I wonder why he'd be sure that it wasn't an unconscious effect, considering it's unconscious.

If you think you are bending the spoon with your mind, then do it without touching it. Why should you need to touch it?

Here's the world's record spoon bendathon:

Talking Spoon Bending

Okay,
I've never bent a spoon and I'm not about to try because I don't see the use of it I will however say this-:

If all things are made up of atoms or molecules or whatever and these are really waves and spaces then it makes a kind of sense that if you find a way to make the waves and spaces move or change places the spoon will be able to bend. If the temperature changes which it will do because movement of the particles will generate warmth and affect the way the particles attract or repel each other then there is a great chance that the object will bend.

I am not a scientist and I really don't understand the theory of this but it sounds like it could be possible

greetings,
