What energy healing modalities are there?

I want to see if we can generate a list of energy healing modalities.
See what you know that's not on the list and add it.

As far as I can tell after a rather quick look, this combines something kin to polarity therapy and intention with quantum information drawn from the zero point field to produce change in the body. Looks amazing. Will have to study further.

Many names to describe the various energy healing modalities. Each with a variance, only in name and how applied. The source is common to all modes of healing.
One of many is " LaHoChi " by Elizabeth Chandler, at LaHoChi - Hands on healing,theraputic touch and energy healing therapies
She has a beautiful manual, showing the hand positions. Also there is the Siva method, and the Springforest Qigong way.
Have learned various methods, out of necessity.

1. Isn't laying-on-of-hands just a generic name for healing practices like Reiki or quantum touch and other similar techniques which use the laying of hands?

2. What is Absent Healing?

Absent healing is another name for distant healing. I use a babies doll for my distant healing.

Different people might mean different things when they use the term laying on of hands.

In the simplest sense Laying-on-of-hands is when you touch the person recieving healing. In other types of healing the healer moves his hands a few inches away from the person - they actually don't touch the person. Also, for example reiki has a lot of concepts which are specific to reiki, lots of healing modalities have lots of specific theory etc.

The religion of spiritualism also has a specific meaning for laying on of hands. Laying on of hands is when you touch the person with the intention to heal. The theory is that the healing energy (the God force) moves through the healer from a higher source to the person recieving healing. Other healing modalities believe the energy comes from the healer, not any higher source. Also in spiritualism the "extras" visualizations for example are used to maintain intention but are not believed to have intrinsic effects - intention is all that is necessary.

Absent healing is when you send healing to a person who is not in the same place the healer is.

So, actually, laying-on-of-hands and absent healing are not real modalities.
Almost all of the healing modalities I've learned have distant healing in them as an option (EFT, Quantum touch are just examples).
