Post Soy Health?

I have been hearing that soy-based products have many benefits from weight control to anti-cancer. Can anyone tell me their experience taking soy-based products and how it has benefited you in anyway? Thanks.

Hello healthyfreak,

I too, had read about how healthy Soy products were for your well being.
Then a few of my trusted newsletters started raising the alarm about people getting serious illnesses, from eating Soy products. Even well known doctors were saying "soy is good for health", this was in conflict to what my newsletters were saying. So totally confused now, with soy for health, " vs " soy gets you sick, did my own research into it. Now, I'm not an expert health researcher, but I am expert in researching problems in the electronic and electro-mechanical field. So off I went into proving to myself, which group of health experts were not up to date regards soy usage as food. Check out the results of my research, and decide for yourself, if soy is going to benefit your health. Soy, in one form or another is now being put into many things you eat every day. Soy is not a welcome food in my nutritional intake.

Those illness that you are attributing to soy could be from unfermented soy as described in a blog that I found on line at:

Health Blogs

The title of the health blog is "Is Consuming Soy Healthy of Risky?"

If soy is so unhealthy, then why is there very little incidences of these illness in various Asian cuisines that use soy products? In fact the Chinese, which uses a lot of tofu in their food, have extremely low incidences of cancer and other diseases.

Hi,
While I'm unable to give first hand accounts here, my research shows the slow fermented soy is OK, health wise, in nominal amounts. Soy is a negative food product. Contributing far to much, to triggering ill health. I just make every effort to avoid soy, until proven a positive source of health. There is some progress shown though, that for certain medicinal purposes and very specific illnesses, soy will one day be useful.

Default Talkers Thoughts About Soy

Hello All,
Here is the latest soy info, from a company that helped start the way to real health, based on real, in the field, research. Did do my own research into soy and want nothing to do with soy as a food. Some day, some good might show up in using soy for specific medications, but at present, soy is still a threat to health for many people. Have read verified articles and stories about the horrors many experienced from using soy products.

So Talker,

Do you feel at the present time that Soy's disadvantages outweigh the advantages, based on what you are telling me and from the articles that you sited?

Correct. In all fairness to "soy", most everything I say about it, is from my type of research, not from use "of" soy. My practical experience is that in many instances I can detect soy (flour) in bread by taste and texture. The truly nasty aspects, of not only soy use, but also wheat and corn use. Of the three items, soy's contribution to "hidden" and "remote" Ill's, are the most insidious. If one has any kind of "difficult" to eliminate, or control health condition, these three items should be the ones to remove from the diet first. I'm fully aware that with the state of the art today, in chemistry, soy can be made to taste and look like any other food product. Odd situation thought, that the chemically altered food can look and taste better than a natural, real product. The real problem though, is that "life" and health sustaining qualities are lacking in the chemically altered product.
There are numerous of my posts that point out the down side of chemicals in our drink and food products on my blog,
