Default Asthma Cures

Hi..These are some home remedies is found on net...I hope these are helpful..

Asthma treatment using Honey
Honey is one of the most common home remedies for asthma. It is said that if a jug of honey is held under the nose of an asthma patient and he inhales the air that comes into contact with it, he starts breathing easier and deeper.

Asthma treatment using Figs
Among fruits, figs have proved very valuable in asthma. They give comfort to the patient by draining off the phlegm. Three or four dry figs should be cleaned thoroughly with warm water and soaked overnight.

Asthma treatment using Lemon
Lemon is another fruit found beneficial in the treatment of asthma. The juice of one lemon, diluted in a glass of water and taken with meals, will bring good results.

Asthma treatment using Ginger
A teaspoon of fresh ginger juice, mixed with a cup of fenugreek decoction and honey to taste, acts as an excellent expectorant in cases of asthma. The decoction of fenugreek can be made by mixing one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in a cupful of water. This remedy should be taken once in the morning and once in the evening.

Asthma treatment using Garlic
Garlic is another effective home remedy for asthma. Ten garlic cloves, boiled in 30 ml of milk, make an excellent medicine for the early stages of asthma. This mixture should he taken once daily by the patient. Steaming ginger tea with two minced garlic cloves in it, can also help to keep the problem under control, and should be taken in the morning and evening.

Default My Asthma is cured

Just read this thread on asthma cures.

I was a terrible asthmatic for many years since childhood, always in and out of hospital and living on inhalers, antibiotics and steroids. I put myself on vitamin therapy and the asthma has gone.

Hope this helps

Blessings

Hello friends,

# Go somewhere where the air is cold and just sit, relax and take deep breaths.
# Drink fresh cabbage juice every day.
# Drink one glass of milk to help with the asthma.
# Take 2 tablespoonful of fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoonful of water. Repeat day and night.
# Drink a cup of hot dark tea to relief the asthma
# Boil one teaspoon of pure honey with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, half a cup of milk, and some garlic. Drink every day.

Hello.
Asthma is a disease which effects the airways that carries air to from our lungs.Asthma is incurable, but with proper treatment a person can live a healthy and normal life.
The main functional changes in the respiratory system of a asthmatic person are as follows.
1-The muscles around the airways tighten up, narrowing the airway.
2- Less air is able to flow through the airway.

Its always advisable to adopt the natural treatment for asthma as it is more effective.

Thanks

I suffer from light asthma at times and have had my throat almost close up on a couple of occasions. Its fine to try out these home remedies, but folks, if you have asthma, please have a properly prescribed pump on hand at all times. Don't just rely on these alternative therapies, unless they have been thoroughly tested in proper double blind studies.

You don't want to have your throat closing up and these remedies not working, when a couple puffs would open it right back up.

I was just about to write the same thing.
I have mild Exertion Induced Asthma, and have a bit of a problem during spring and early summer due to pollen.
Do try alternative treatments for your illness as long that it doesnt cause any bad side effects. It might help lessen your problem to some degree.
But rely on proper medication as a base.

If I get a heart attack I wont call for the local chakra-healer or send for some homoeopathic-tea, I would call for assistance that I know will help.

I was diagnosed with asthma in my mid-30s, despite being a fit long distance cyclist. Basically, I could blow the spirometer to the end of the meter (which is the main diagnostic tool) but found constant difficulty breathing and was beset by colds and producing phlegm all of the time.

I'm now in my early 50s and after yet another cold that hadn't gone away for a month with me gasping for breath all night, my GP admitted there was nothing he could do for me. This lead me to Google the alternatives. One was a so-called 'stone age' diet which removes wheat (and cereals generally) and all diary products and processed foods of any kinds. The results have been nothing short of astounding and I'm skeptical of revolutionary diet cures.

I'd heard that milk and other dairy products were responsible for producing mucus in some individuals previously but hadn't taken the idea seriously. One side effect of asthma is weight gain as a person confuses tiredness and lack of breath with a need for energy. My weight dropped practically overnight and I have more energy than I've had for twenty years. The asthma also coincided with an irritable bowel and chronic indigestion and the combination lead me to believe it was simply old age catching up, after all when your family doctor tells you he can't help you are either going mad or getting old. I can only guess there's a link between coeliac wheat intolerance and lactose intolerance in my metabolism.

The turn around lead me to question the diagnostic methods of the medical profession, I mean if I can Google a possible remedy in two minutes, why can't doctors at least suggest something similar in twenty years? It can only be because non-pharmaceutical cures are synonyms for crank medicine and GPs are in fear of litigation resulting from un-labproven remedies.
