| Specifically from the 80/10/10 diet book by Dr. Douglas Graham. He has a website look him up. Also check out his mentors some of whom passed away teaching Natural Hygiene which includes raw foods (fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables), sunlight, fresh air, exercise, relaxation, fostering healthy, meaningful, uplifting relationships, doing good, learning to play, humor, and more. While on this raw food diet you have an opportunity to try Urine therapy from India, and also a buddhist and taoist practice as well as some say christian (gnostic, not churchianity), muslim (maybe sufi?), and jain religion might be into this. Not only does Natural Hygiene open you up for Urine therapy or Shivambhu as called in India, it is a wonder in itself. A simple lifestyle yet very satisfying and nourishing. One question i wonder about which really doesn't matter but i will post for others who may be wondering the same. If raw food diet is so helpful why do Taoist say not to eat too many raw foods? Why do they suggest a diet that's not compatible with Natural Hygiene's suggestions? Actually there are many doctors in NH with different protocols. The best i've bumped into has been Dr. Doug. But i experimented and would say that's your best bet if you have the will you make the way. To answer i have a few ideas. First, different time, different circumstances. Maybe the raw foods available weren't so good, or weren't available in variety as now we have all kinds of fruits and vegetables available throughout the year. So they would've only gotten a few benefits from just a few fruits and couldn't rely on them to satiate. Also maybe they didn't know the science. The inexact science i should say . So many things. I guess that's why buddha said not to believe him or to believe scripture or holy writings until you have tested. In other words they are not correct, the way. The way is your way, however that comes or happens to you.A great magazine with articles and funny stories about raw food diet is Vibrance magazine. They are online and also paperback. They sell a great variety of books on raw foods from the best authors; the ones that will get you on your way quick. An online community for non-meat eating information (raw food, vegan, vegetarian) is Vegsource. They have many forums led by experts. You can ask questions, it's free and tons of help and support. Also once you get into this and your looking for support of the friendship type, look at giveittomeraw.com. They are the raw food facebook. I just joined and haven't really made connections yet. My profile hasn't been approved yet it's been like 3 days already. I guess they do a strong security thing so that they can better prevent name calling, fights, and you know all the other stuff. Well, this is my first post on this forum. I plan on posting more. You can comment and ask questions about Natural Hygiene, raw foods, urine therapy, veganism (philosophy and practice), and how all these help contribute to a better sustainable health model for all. Thank you for reading. It's my pleasure. Peace. |

| I was fascinated by the Raw food 30-day trial that Steve Pavlina has done and published on his blog. He finally converted to eating Raw only. Although he was a vegan already, so apparently it was somewhat easier for him.
