| That was a good interview. That would be great if Marcel interviews Gary Schwartz (or Radin). I'm not convinced by Schwartz's work because it hasn't been replicated, so there are some good, tough questions to ask there. |

| That was indeed an interesting interview. Marcel I think you are absolutely right in suggesting concerted marketing - but editorial and word of mouth are by far the cheapest and most convincing media. The problem is exactly as you mention - personalities - why is it mediums appear to have strong egos. I think it is detrimental to the cause. What national or global body is there for this type of psi and should that be the voice. In the UK we have the College of Psychic studies which is very well respected but it is not an evangilising type of organisation. If a decent professional body doesn't exist i suggest you set one up - a charity of course. (sorry if this has been done). I think, it should have the goal of not only proof of life after death which but also an underlying determination for acceptance that intuition is just a lesser degree of mediumship. Everybody has had intuitive experiences you just build on that with an authoratative voice. Anyway a body of mediums and other transpersonal practitioners with a cause greater than their egos would be powerful indeed - battle strategy required. Go forth and conquer (also possibly get funding). Apologies if this is old ground to you. ![]() |

| Thanks DysonSphere and Desdemona. I appreciate the comments and support. I have imagined many scenarios over the years on how best to organize or represent mediums in this country, but the problem is as you say, funding, and of course time and energy. Additionally, most mediums are so territorial and competitive, that I don't trust them for a minute to be supportive of each other's work. Past attempts to organize just a handful of mediums has already shown me this. I think Julie Beischel formerly of the Veritas Institute is looking for a way to certify mediums in her new endeavor, Windbridge Institute. I'll be keeping a close eye on that.
