Everybody likes to have a taste of what is out there so that they can form their own opinions on what they feel, think and see. So here's the link; now you tell me: What Do You See? Is this Telekinesis? http://mediaservices.myspace.com/ser...4,t=1,mt=video Last edited by RenBean; 10-01-2008 at 12:43 AM. Reason: typo

I think this is probably a trick using magnets. When the glass moves, his left hand is always about the same distance from the glass which suggests he's using a magnetic field. Notice he is wearing a ring. You can get rings that are made from magnets. Take a look here... United Nuclear - Neodymium magnets ...and scroll down a bit. He could have concealed another magnet to some part of the glass neck or base.

That's a really cool video. The yellow in the glass looks like it's a reflection of the overhead light-source; it appears to shift position on the glass as he moves it, which makes me think it's not a fixed-source. As for the magnet theory, that was my initial thought, but he touches the glass with that hand several times in the video, with no visual effect. I suppose it could be an electromagnet, but how would a regular glass be made to react to that? (I could be wrong, there, as it certainly does "feel" like a magnet field effect) I wonder if perhaps he surreptitiously places some kind of wire to the under side of the glass as he was showing that there was no wire? He goes to lengths to specifically press the base of the glass to his palm, it looks like. Really neat video, though; my assumption is that it's a magic trick (he sounds like he's a confident performer, which doesn't mean anything necessarily, but suggests something, I think), because, yes, it's an easier explanation than genuine telekinesis. I think you'd need to see the trick in person, or see a much higher quality version of the video to really explain what happened; there could be a wire involved, or it could be a case of the camera being stopped and started again, but with the resolution of that video, it's hard to tell.

He's using a loop. At 1:20 right after he's done with the hoop he slips it on. Note the motion of his right hand while he holds the glass with his left. After that his right hand never goes far away from the glass anymore. He waves around his left hand in the foreground to misdirect. Observe his right hand. The glass only moves once the hand is at maximum distance and it only moves synchronously with the right hand. BTW: One would use elastic thread and not wire. It doesn't dangle so much and snaps back to the hand once removed from the object and so doesn't leave a visible trace. BTW2: That trick works just as well with a close up audience. That's what makes it magic

I've been wondering for a wile how he pulled it off... He did a good job
