What is karma?
Hindu texts describe three types of karma (sachita, agamis and prarabdha).
"Karma is a total sum of acts and their consequences which defines character of a new birth, embodiments, and influence of former acts, including the previous births, on character of the present and subsequent existence."

Modern researches, the analysis of ancient philosophical views of the East, has allowed to define three types Karma

The concept of karma is more difficult, than it’s taught by many authors. For example, do not consider the big influence of reincarnations - last lives which was well presented by D-r Stevenson’s researches. Do not consider sort influence - patrimonial karma, do not provide an assessment of works of power structures - chakras. In the presented work you can see what influences render pyramids on power structure of chakras and patrimonial communications. Konstantin, as you well know S. Lazarev in his books is focused not so much on problems of reincarnation (what's important but kind of irrelevant for nowadays living people. His books are answering to the very important question - What person CAN do to improve his physical or/and spiritual/mental condition. And an another question is answered - Why a person is in this particular condition.

I recommend here only the first book of Mr. Lazarev (now are 14 volumes available in Russian). Only the first one was translated into English for now.

Why a person is in this particular condition?
If not to consider, that the person is in these certain conditions because of last lives it to mean not to consider its prehistory. It means only to mow a grass, but it's not to reach roots, to the reasons.
