I completely agree with Topher Cooper. Everything he said is quite true. So I just say ditto to what he said.

You don't need a lot of fancy equipment to influence the minds of others... but maybe your own TV network would be helpful. LOL Media was once about free press, and many voices, but today the mass media is all owned by a handful of major corporations, and they do control the minds of most of the people the world, with slanted news, repetitive themes on talk shows, and many other interesting propaganda methods. These half dozen corporations produce the vast majority of movies, magazines, newspapers, and television programs. The only place left for free speach and free press is on line, where us amatures get a chance to express our views without censorship... at least for now.

Some people are more suspicious, but others... It is amazing how many people believe the news is true... completely true, and they take in all those inferences at face value. An example is the fact that in China a 30 year old man recently died in an internet cafe' after playing a video game for three days solid, at least aledgedly. Now we all know that China's government is trying to undo the impact the internet is having on its people. They actually consider it one of their biggest problems. So some guy conveniently falls over dead while using the internet, and bang, they have propaganda fuel. The west is no different, and it never has been. Back in the 70's I remember reading in a NEWS article, that Marajuana makes men sterile. LOL I remember how many times the news changed their story on the Waco situation, the Kansas City Bombing, and 9/11, and obviously lied repeatedly, on all these situations. Yet most people just blindly believed the story of the day, and never questioned why the story was different than the day before. They didn't even stop to think.

On the other hand in the case of IRA soldiers held captive by the British government they were subjected to strong mind control, like the five techniques, and horrible abuse. They only became more galvanized in their beliefs, because they already had a strong opinion. Nothing could change their minds, and likewise with the victims of the Albagenian crusade in 1244, who allowed themselves to be tortured and finally burned rather than recant.

In general mind control, whether by propaganda, mechanization, or torture only seperates and polarizes a population. Either they lack a firm opinion, and a strong will, and mindlessly accept the status quo, or they disagree firmly, and become even more firm in their stand no matter how much duress you put on them. I do not think that anyone can force another human being to recant what they firmly believe, but if there is some doubt in their mind on an issue, their minds can be changed. If a person is not the type to analize information, and question authority they are going to be fooled by any lame story without much effort at all.

Giving recent events as evidence. I think most people can be swayed temporarily by a catastrophic set of circumstances played up in the media, 9/11 for example. Apparently the majority of people, can agree to overt racism, complete mob rules idiocy, and hyper patriotism for at least six months. Not to mention the abandonment of all fashion sense, and moral values, by wearing read white and blue T-shirts, everyday with slogans like "God Bless America, and kill the r*gheads." During that time they will willingly allow their representitives to sign away their personal freedom, for example the Patriot Act. They will allow the persecution of their fellow americans and neighbors, because of race and national origin. Under fear of attack they become blind sheep, even though logically they themselves are in no immediate danger. Four years later about half of them will still have an emotional responce, when triggered by repeated propaganda showing the incident. By that time also about half will have realized that they are being manipulated, and will turn in disgust from the propaganda. They will allow this emotion to over rule their logic, whether for or against it, and their more rational best interests become a non issue. Later still though... only about 30-35 percent continue to hold the conforming view, if the media changes their story. That 35 percent strongly held that type of view previously as well.

In other words people conform when they feel threatened... and are told they should unite against some common enemy. Only the previously parinoid even have a clue something is amiss... and even then it doesn't seem to click in if their political party is in power.

So we have to answer a question with a question... Is mind control possible? The question is who's mind are we talking about?

Are more advanced techniques than simple propaganda possible? Sure, But why? Propaganda is so effective. Most people don't have to be brain washed. Just lie to them.

My thoughts on this subject are based only on "how I see it". Mind control is a greatly misunderstood process. Huge amounts of money is spent advertising products, why! To influence your thinking to buy a product. Newspaper and TV news polarizes the average thinking process. Many past and current leaders use certain language to influence the listener. So "mind control" is not just on the "one on one" level, it is also for "mass" mind control. It is used to highly influence those that refuse to think on their own. If you purchase any product on a regular basis, it is due to subtle mind control. Now much of what I say can be construed as applied "common sense", but is "mind control" at work and working. Regardless of how classified, religion, politics, traffic etc, it all basically falls into "mind control". If you adhere to the law, why do you stop at a red light while driving the car! Its the law. What is the law but a method to control what you do, while driving. Mind control, right. Mind control takes on numerous shapes and forms, the most insidious type is the covert type.
