A long with having a past life regression, a visit to the Monroe Institute is high on my list of things I'd like to do.

I posted this because of the Roger Ebert thread. The question is: what is the afterlife like? Campbell's answer is that you can see for yourself. He also explains how it all works.

Default Thomas Campbell's latest video is the best yet

I am a 110% fan of Thomas Campbell's My Big TOE trilogy. It has changed my life. It is the first comprehensive theory that I see as viable. As one of the previous posters said "AWESOME!"

As one of the reviewers on Amazon said:
This is a major piece of work. I thought relativity was a mind bender. I thought quantum mechanics was a mind bender. I thought religious science, philosophy and other big thoughts were mind benders. But nothing I've read so far has bent my view of reality as much as this idea. WOW! Read it slowly. Read it and test it. Read it and observe. BUT READ IT! You will not be disappointed, and if you are, read it again and set your beliefs and preconceived notions of reality aside. There is more here to think about than you may ever know in one life time on this crazy ride through the universe! Never before have I found an author more accessible or a scientific concept so personal. Science meets daily existence, as me! And You! Enjoy and Thank You Tom Campbell!
Anyway, if you go to youtube and search for "Tom Campbell in Spain: Consciousness The Ultimate Reality", you'll find the best presentation of his books yet. It's 13 hours of video, which is almost as long as it would take to read it, so you might as well read it.

One thing I've noticed is that it appeals more to the techies, engineers, scientists than it does to the artists because he's speaking in their language and they are familiar with all the concepts he brings up. It's easy enough for artsy-craftsy people also, but they'll just have to pay a little more attention to the new words.

I've started on his Big Toe trilogy. He has some interesting things to say, but I find his writing style hard to connect with. He spends way too much time laying breadcrumbs; describing what he is going to talk about later in the book - I just wish he'd get on with it. Maybe I'm just not in the right frame of mind for him, and I'll appreciate it him more in time. I've not given up on the Big Toe books, and I'm not dismissing his ideas.

I love Campbell's stuff!!!
That's absolutely insane though that Tom uploaded his entire Spain 13 hour seminar on youtube! Plus, he gives you option of buying it on dvd if you want to, and knowing Campbell, the price is probably going to be pretty cheap....

I may have to take a weekend and listen to the entire 13 hour seminar....

As an engineer I found the reading easy and, after completing it, found that his way of presentation, of laying those breadcrumbs, worked well for me by drilling in the concepts.

Actually, as soon as I learned of the book, upon reading that Amazon review, I thought I'VE GOT TO READ THIS BOOK. I turned his Google Books version into a Kindle version so I could read it on my iPhone wherever I went.

I'm 63 years old and have been reading science, world religions, and paranormal stuff for most of my life. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK THAT PUTS IT ALL TOGETHER. This is the first book that I could say is a turning point in my life. I can now say I GET IT (almost).

So, should you put in the effort to read it? It's HIGHLY recommended if you've been searching for answers, trying to fit the paranormal into the normal, metaphysics into physics. But if you're impatient and are looking for a 5 minute answer to the nature of reality, then you won't find it here. This is a paradigm shift. Paradigm shifts don't come easy. But when they do, WOW!

I was asked by some friends to make a presentation to them. I thought about it and realized that it took Tom 13 hours to present it in Spain, there's no way I can summarize this in an hour. I've watched the full Spain presentation, the Monroe Institute presentation, the Hawaii presentation, and several others. NONE of them give you the understanding that reading the book does. So those breadcrumbs are important. But, if it's boring, tiring or you're impatient, then go hiking, watch tv, swim, come back in a year and try it again. But TRY IT AGAIN, do the remote viewing, prove to yourself that this really is a pretty powerful idea. When you do, I think it will turn your life around.

When I listen to Alex's Skeptiko podcasts and hear him in his interviews trying to talk to the little picture dogmatists, I'm thinking that if he'd just read My Big TOE he'd be able to provide some really good answers to counter their dogmatism. He'd have an excellent model to fit all this stuff into. Hopefully he'll find the time to read it someday and have Thomas Campbell on board afterwards to answer some of his questions.

I think his books could have been written better but he is a guy that
cannot be ignored by anyone interested in parapsychology.

Hi Dickison, I am about half way through the Spain videos. I actually find him much easier to understand when he is talking rather than writing. Maybe it is because I work full-time as a writer, and I'm easily knocked out of text. His ideas do sound fascinating.
