In defense of Dr. Parnia, he stated that the earliest they could hope to see results would be in late 2011 or early 2012. I believe this is because the study depends upon collecting data on a certain minimum number of NDE events / resuscitations. They have to wait until a certain number is reached, and that's not something that anyone can control.

Resuscitations and (recalled) NDEs are relatively rare.

No, but it seems odd that the news came out that Parnia was writing a book based on data from the project before the project's results are slated for release. Seems a little strange to me.

indicates that they found some verdical details, though it could mean they had verdical results but none of the extremely rare "I saw what the doctor did at home that he told no-one about."
