I look forward to dialoguing with you! | Please avoid describing anything discussed in the forum as "WooWoo." I wouldn't say that proponents lack a sense of humor, but this term is highly pejorative and is widely disliked.

| | Hi there, thought I should introduce myself as I have have been listening to the podcasts and reading this forum for a wee while now... I am undecided about where I sit on the paranormal thing... I find the evidence for such things rather compelling, hence my interest in it, however, I think my upbringing and education makes it difficult for me to accept the paranormal explanations for certain phenomena as much as I would like to... |

Thanks for posting. I hope you will find some material that will anchor your belief. Dean Radin is a good read for a starting point. Enjoy your time here, we are quite a community.

| | Thanks Julie, it is so hard to know where to start with reading as some of the stuff discussed is a little beyond my knowledge... I had a listen to one of Dean Radin's lectures last night and it was very interesting... he is very easy to listen to as well....
Thanks for the welcome Alex! I understand why it's difficult for people to accept but I must admit I do struggle to understand how you ever become fully convinced of something that seems to challenge so much of what we were taught growing up... |

I find it is better to remain undecided. That way, you don't find yourself falling into the religious way of believing at all costs. The more extreme skeptiks here, also seem to fall into that trap.

| | I didn't see this at first,,,I'm someone who stumbled on here while looking up psi, have been reading for a week and decided to join because of a thread on here.
I'm interested in psi, but also magical studies (Which happens to have several branches...I follow the spirit model). I also enjoy learning about stars and their properties(so fascinating!) and Earth's earlier lifeforms.
Anyway, hope to have good conversation with you all in the future |

| | Hey Everyone,
I had signed up for this site a few years ago but never posted. I mostly use my cell phone and this site was not too friendly to my phone at that time. Now I have a phone that adjusts well to the site. In that time, I have listened probably to just about every Skeptiko podcast. Alex I would like to thank you for the tremendous job you do in challenging the close minded skeptic. These podcasts are really a breath of fresh air. For me personally, I just want to find the truth, to go where the evidence leads. Right now it is pointing me toward the paranormal end of things but will always turn back if I see strong enough evidence. |
