One of the first cases involved a patient who had a blood clot in her leg that was ice cold at the time. Oscar wrapped his body around her leg and stayed until the woman died.

~~ Paul | Some people hang on the verge of death for extended periods where no one can figure out what's keeping them alive while others seem fairly lively then die quickly. It would be interesting to see charts on the conditions of all the people the cat predicted. It's pretty much all speculation with limited data. |

~~ Paul | Well OK, but this phenomenon was observed with about 50 patients, who presumably died from a range of causes!

~~ Paul | The body/spirit connection is weakening, and predeceased friends and relatives that come near the soon-to-be-departed arrive. The cat is sensitive to this in a way the other cats are not, and shows this by sitting near these patients. Or maybe it is asked to go to these patients on a clairvoyant level.
