I've just got back from the 53rd annual PA Conference in Paris.
I'm very glad I went, it was a very positive experience and I met a lot of excellent people including at least two who post (or have posted) here.
The presentations were very good, with one total mind-boggler from a Russian astro-physicist, which if the information is correct, stands almost everything we know about time and RNG on its head. Even hardy PA members were at a loss.....but the evidence is there for all to see!
Basically, a radioactive source RNG has been set to produce arrays of 3 numbers, and is supposed to be in some as yet unknown manner able to determine the outcome of a 3 digit lottery.
This is open for the public to try, as he posts the winning number sequences 3 hours before the draw.
He wants the public to be involved.
The thing works best when the geomag field is declining locally (where the RNG is) and ok when it's 'low', in that the ROI (return on investment) is way above the null hypothesis (10% loss)....it stays above in low GM conditions, then crosses the null line to become significantly UNDER null in conditions of high local GM and VERY under null (losses) if the GM is actually on the increase.
This is the second year Mark Silberman has presented, but this year the PA could understand him better as his English is improving.....
There was also what is probably the best ever case for survival, in the form of a bit of brilliant historical research by someone who's name I can't recall without my dossier and notes, from the University of Iceland.
Razzaire hard to dismiss this one, guys and gals! More later.....
I've just lent the Conference documents, all the abstracts and papers to a friend who is interested so can only go on memory (

) but there was a superb talk from Russell Targ, Stanley Krippner did an incredibly vivacious and vibrant delivery of little known cases, totally unlike the man we'd been talking to on the Thursday, when he seemed to be in energy-saving mode....I think he was seriously jet-lagged.
Paquart did a lot of watercolour sketches while sitting with me halfway down the room, which I hope he can be persuaded to link to.....
I was horrified to learn that the funding for psi research has been almost entirely stopped in the USA, since 1995, when the 23 year funding stream for Stargate was finally pinched off by the House of Reps who appear to consist of Xtian fundamentalists who feel that "if parapsychology isn't being done in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, then it's probably in the name of Satan"....as Russell Targ put it..
Another blow for freedom.
Parapsychology can be criticised for several things.
It has "no commercial application"......or has it?
Lets' just ignore Targ and Puthoffs exploits in raising money by using RV viewers to predict stock market movements. Puthoff says he made 27,000 dollars in a one week period, while his dentist, who was the money man, made 250,000 dollars on the same information. My figures may be marginally out.
Lets ignore the first year that Delphi Associates operated....when they had little seed money, but made 220,000 dollars profit anyway.
Let's ignore the fact that dowsers often do get paid, and RV has been used for locating minerals.
Some might say that psi has no military applications.
For that to be correct, let's ignore the Stargate program entirely......
So, even if it were actually true that psi has no possible commercial or military applications, (which is the opposite of the reality) and we further ignore its uses in assisting the Police in their endeavours, surely it's a science which is attempting to understand an area which can only be described as central to our very existence as human consciousness?
You would think, in these circumstances, that this science would attract at least as much funding as, say, Philosophy, which actually has no commercial or military applications.
Parapsychology is exclusively peopled by scientists who are patently NOT "in it for the money" but seem to display the very essence of the true Scientific spirit, in it because they are genuinely interested, curious to find out what on earth is actually going on, in the full knowledge that in this superstition-ridden age, they are committing academic suicide unless they are fully established in another field of science before they set foot in the taboo land of Psi research. Even then, they risk being shunned by foolishly deluded fellow scientists as were Keith Josephson (Nobel Laureate) and another 'psi tainted' Professor when recently invited to some function at London University, only to find just beforehand that they had been "uninvited" by someone who shall remain nameless ..."Nothing personal, purely an intellectual matter......it has come to my notice that you have published....in the field of psi research..."
There was an enormous uproar, and they were "re-invited" but the situation is indicative of a malaise......
So, US parapsychology has been effectively sunk, for the moment, by Christian extremists, the skeptics will doubtless be delighted to hear.
However it's not all bad news.....the UK now has 16 Universities offering courses for Parapsychological research!
There were presentations from teams from all over the world, China (non peer-reviewed, so they couldn't actually present this time) Russia (utterly insane stuff but it seems to be working, no-one can understand why) Italy, the UK (now the centre of psi research with 16 universities running study programs!!!!!!!) Iceland, Sweden, Japan, Germany, Holland, and of course France. One of the French presentations was to do with commercial applications of RV, from a private company. I can't talk about certain aspects of this but doubtless the media will be onto it soon.....
The Saturday evening banquet was completely out of this world.......I doubt any conference has ended in such an explosion of pyrotechnics, thanks to a chance meeting on the part of Mario Varvoglis a while back......
The Saturday night banquet was held in the most fabulous place.....called "Les Pavillons de Bercy", it's part of a 19th century wine depot, with what look more like railway building, lots of brick and iron structure, and minimum 1500mē interiors, probably 2000mē plus but I didn't measure.....either interlinked or across cobbled ways.
The whole place was being demolished, till some enlightened soul realised what was happening and slapped a protection notice on what was left.
It was then bought by a friend of the PA researcher Mario Varvoglis, who must be a mega rich eccentric.....and he has turned it into a dream-like space filled with 19th century fairground stuff......stuff you never see anywhere, and somehow very archtypical.....each piece made with love and inspiration, Egyptian, Sumerian and Chinese influence in a lot of it.
The sight of white-bearded veteran parapsychologists, together with maybe 25 other people including Russel Targ, co founder of the CIA Stargate programme, whizzing round and round on a 19th century calliope, with the original organ blasting away and steam whistles going like crazy is a memory which I will never forget. Also on the roundabouts, one of which was a rare bicycle roundabout, were Stanley Krippner, Daryl Bem, Roger Nelson of the GCP and a host of professors from Iceland, Japan, Beijing etc etc.....an unforgettable moment.
Thank god I didn't bring a camera, or I wouldn't have experienced it....the whole thing was surreal, and messing with cameras would have reduced it.
It's all been recorded on high-end solid state TV quality Sony anyway.
It's not usually open as a restaurant, but the owner likes the PA so we were the only people there.
In the dining hall, which was about an acre in size, one side had a pulpit high in one wall with a life-size or larger figure, I think representing Death, but wearing a Venetian half-face mask.
On the opposite wall were 8 ornate Baroque opera boxes, high up the wall.
Each had one or more occupants.
Just before the meal, Death sprang to life and launched into animated operatic singing, in a fine basso-profundo voice. The lights switched to one of the opera boxes, where his oratorio was answered by Colombine and Punchinello, then other animated automata from the other boxes continued the delivery........utterly fabulous!
At the end of this vast space near where we sat was a Magic Theatre stage, all rococo gilt and velvet curtains, with to the right a modern light screen, and the words "Ride the Black Swan"
This was for the after dinner address by the amazing Paul Devereux, which started with his explaining an out of body experience he had at age 5.....and by the time he had ended, an hour later, it was as though everyone was in an altered state of consciousness......quelle raconteur! (in English.....he IS English)
What a weekend!
It went on, with a very curious sequence of events on the return train, which ended with me adding the CEO and President of an American medical appliance company to my 'buddy list' and him requesting information on psi research.
