I agree with that completely. I don't think Dr. Kim Odgen-Avrutik's interview was very strong, and Venom's assessment of her may be right, but there is absolutely no need for us to descend into mere scoffing. The ψ community obviously contains some pretty strange people, but if you are interested in this subject - which I presume Venom is - that goes with the territory.

I would be very interested if Alex could get back to her and attempt to corroborate something of what she said. My guess is she won't/can't, but it would be amazing if the opposite turned out to be true.

Thumbs up

I've interviewed another woman, Laura Bruno, who is also an animal communicator, among other things. In the interview, I've asked her about animal communication.
Here's a short excerpt from the interview:

Quote:
Q: I saw on your site that you also do animal communication. To be frank, this seems a little too far fetched for most people, if you know what I mean.

I actually teach animal communication and other intuitive workshops, because we can all awaken such abilities. Some people are more “natural communicators” than others—just like some people are more “natural athletes”—but with proper training and practice, anyone can improve his or her intuitive and telepathic skills. Most people initially find animal communication “far-fetched,” but everyone has at least one story of a pet or wild animal “knowing just what to do at just the right moment.” Grief especially opens people to messages from animals. Patricia Spork edited a book called, Loss, Comfort & Healing from Animal Sightings: True Experiences of Animal Blessings. I contributed to this essay collection, but the other authors are “ordinary” people who experienced “extra-ordinary” connections with animals.
There's more about it. Read:

Hi

Well I haven't read all the posts here, sorry. I find interesting the idea to invent an animal communicator.

Thinking of it, I know about a great and already invented possible mean to communicate with animals. I'm a musician, playing guitar and bass. I love watching nature espacially how birds evolve, how animal species evolve, just in front of my eyes. I discovered some "logic" in bird singings, what I may call patterns.
I know it sounds a bit delirious, but I'm convinced (as a certain scientist BATESON) that music can be a way to communicate with animals.

I just tried to play some music to my cat, as many did before me. Music as I see it (blues, jazz, or just acoustic guitar sweet melodies) just seemed to freighten my cat. If I play unlogical patterns (you would call that cacophony :P) the cat responds differently, judging by its behavior.

When you listen to a little bird singing (let's call it "Mésange" in French), you can here some high frequency "bips", always ended by a low frequency "bip".
The number of "bips" changes all the time, and "echoed" responded by other "mésanges" around. Just like a conversation between two jazz musicians.

I just see patterns in bird singings, as in wolves's hawlings, or dog's barkings. Patterns that informs other members of each species about the proximity of a food source, an imminent danger, or simply the location of home.
I may be wrong and you think I'm totally mad but maybe if someone think this hypothesis is worthy, please share your opinion

One last thing : I think we'd better try to understand how animals communicate between them, rather than teach them to communicate with us.
