Default Upcoming Interview With Winter Laake, Author of "The Satanic Paradigm"

ok, I've never done this before, but I have some very interesting interviews coming up and I thought it might be fun... and helpful... to bounce some ideas around beforehand... here's the first:

About Winter:
Winter Laake is a screen-writer/writer and perveyor of Satanic/occult/witchcraft inculcations. He is a also psychic and a remote viewer/influencer. He is the author of ten books and thirty screenplays. Winter Laake is the author of 'The Satanic Paradigm,' a tome so popular it has sold tens of thousands of copies, and is readily in print.

Some of my questions/topics-of-interest:

- scientific evidence for the survival of consciousnesses is mounting... what's your position?... other opinions within the Occult community?

- similarly, the reality of precognition (dreams, vision, prophesy) is gaining scientific acceptance... what are the implications... are some destined for the "dark side"?

- the hypocrisy of "spiritual warfare"

- alternative dimensions... one of our former guests (Dr. Rick Strassman) has done extensive research with the drug DMT and it's ability to allow access to what appears to be another dimension of reality occupied by strange looking beings that resemble those described in Satanic/Occult literature?

- darkness/evil & religion... Catholic church, "C" Street and "the Family", Islam and 96 virgins... and on and on

- darkness/evil & government... CIA Project MKOFTEN, Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones, Hellfire and Ben Franklin

The interview will be conducted next week and should appear on Skeptiko in about 6 weeks.

Could you ask him about decline effects, which apparently were well known throughout occult history, and how people went to certain locations to get "re-energized" or go there to cause supernatural phenomena.

The idea that a special place or conditioning of a space is needed has been investigated and written about by William Tiller (tiller.org) in his white papers.

What do these folks think happen in these spaces? Are there physical correlates with these spaces and can they be favorably conditioned to produces psi like phenomena?

The rest is a history of good and evil and the politics or power struggles between religions and cults. Interesting to hear his take on all this.

Wow - this should be an interesting podcast!

What is "Spiritual warfare"?

Looking at some of the blurb associated with his book, I think you should be careful that the discussion doesn't descend into very obscure stuff that few people understand.

I'd allow plenty of time for the interview!

I'd like to know what he means by 'satanic' - is Satan supposed to be as he is in the bible, or what?

Also, I would like to know what things happen in his ceremonies that would be classed as paranormal.

He seems to be a Levey-satanist. IIRC they're not followers of the biblical Satan and it's not about being evil - more about harnessing one's inner strength and individuality. I don't think they believe in an actual devil figure. It's not the satanism of the movies.

Alex, he'll give his take or philosophy but I'm interested in how he got his history of satan/Lucifer/whatever before Christianity and afterward. Is he a historian? Does he have any research to back up his claims?

This "sacred site" idea for getting spiritually recharged isn't his or new apparently but I've never looked into it in depth. Are there credible researchers and scholars that have looked at these notions?

I found this youtube about the pyramids but don't have any idea about the quality of research behind the claims. Never the less, it is an interesting video:

A general impression I've gotten:
The podcast seems to have lost its focus in my opinion. It started as a very specific podcast about a few parapsychology topics, such as telepathy (Sheldrake's dog telepathy) and survival of consciousness. Most often the interviewees were parapsychology researchers and skeptics. Now it seems more lika a general new age/occult/conspiracy theories/paranormal podcast to me. Is this the direction it's going?

I've listened to several interviews... he seems well versed in the history and quite knowledgeable of the field in general.

are you a regular listener?... I ask because I've kinda laid out the direction quite a few times... in sum... science's biggest questions (e.g. who are we?... where do we go when we die?) are not answerable by looking at the data... the data is in, and science (i.e. scientism/materialism) has turned up it's nose and continued on... so the question is -- what's driving this paradigm?

Thanks for your reply, Alex. The data may be in, as you say, but we could look more into it (why do some experimenters get good results-others bad? why have results declined?). Answering those questions we may improve the data to an extent it has to be accepted. Going to new age/conspiracy theories-authors will not help, I believe. What can they offer?

OK, so after spending lots of time you'll find out: denial is there in those fields as well, the materialistic paradigm isn't working, cognitive dissonance doesn't allow for psi, it's a conspiracy that hides the truth from the general public that is fooled by the authorities. Then what? What benefit will this knowledge provide?
All that time could instead be spent on learning about psi, what it is and what you can do to increase it, use it.

Quite regular listener. And I want to add, I really like the show!
