I think stopping the Million Dollar Challenge is a very bad idea. The skeptical community needs a MDC...

There's no real purpose to it since no one has any prospect of winning.

If paranormal phenomena were real, it would be really really easy to win. In the "X-Men" world for exemple, every mutants would have it right away (especially Charles Xavier or Jean Grey, with there thelepatic and psychokinetic skills).

But of course it's difficult to prove to have paranormal powers in our reality, because that kind of things doesn't exist...

But it was so much fun watching everyone squirm. And imagine the publicity for the person who just waltzed in and won the prize. Heck, someone should do it now. The JREF gets screwed and some worthy charity gets a million.

Not a single psychic has the confidence to have a chit-chat with dead people and take the money.
