This along with so many poltergeist phenomenon defies logic. The reason for something like this happening is baffling and one would think that after the massive police effort to solve this a thorough scientific investigation would have been done.
The phenomenon of apportation is always remarkable for those who experience it on occasion and often it is rationalized away, but a case like this that was going on for 6 years (13 months under police investigation) is quite surreal.
