Alex, Why didn't you perform a few experiments during your Podcast to verify Holland is a psychic medium? If he is genuine he certainly would have agreed. Are there boundaries that must be controlled and approved by your guest before the interview? No surprises? No demonstrations for doubting listeners? Alex, perhaps you could have asked "Holland, what do you mean when you say John Edward and yourself have a different style? Holland, what is your excuse for avoiding Jame Randi's million dollar challenge? After all, you both must agree to the testing methods?" Alex, do you follow a predetermined script? Must you continue to keep the paranormal and the so-called spiritual a kinky, quirky sideshow, running constantly and getting no where like a hampster in a cage? Doesn't skeptiko desire a lasting skeptiko show with a growing, easily persuaded young audience more than a desire for critical science? C'mon isn't this just a pitch show to sell the books of your guests and funnel money their way? Instead of proven and traditional medicine, psychology, physics, biology, etc which have made real advances.

Sandy, Don't believe everything you read. If there is a paranormal ability Randi will make more than a million dollars if he finds it.

I'm sure that James Randi does fine as the skeptical (I loathe the use of the word) figure head. Besides, it isn't always about about money. There are dogmatic beliefs on both sides of the debate here. And that may very well include Mr. Randi. Here is another, fairly recent post to check out.

Entangled Minds: Randi Backs Out of Challenge with Homeopath George Vithoulkas

The comment section contains even more links questioning Randi. It's worth checking out.

All seemed to be going well when in August 2006, Vithoulkas received a signed agreement from Randi in which he stated that he was satisfied with the suggested protocol. He also waived the need for a preliminary test - the part of the process that had foiled every applicant up to that point. However Randi then delayed the start of the experiment owing to health problems and lack of sufficient funding. Apparently Randi was asked by Vithoulkas to assign a representative in his absence while funding was being sought but Randi refused to do so. He also told the homeopaths that he needed 6 months to recuperate from his unspecified health problems.
This doesn't sound right. First of all, Randi's health problem involved a heart attack, which is public knowledge. Second, the JREF does not fund challenge attempts; it's up to the applicant to pay any expenses.

Whoa, there Nelly. Lets's get back to John Holland, his messages from the dead, John Edward and Holland's tarot cards: Suggested links http://www.johnholland.com/about_links.asp http://www.johnholland.com/calendar.asp John Holland – Calendar of Events and Workshops
One of the best places for a charlatan to hide is under an umbrella of religion. Remember the priests that were having sex with little boys? Holland is not out to comfort those who have lost a loved one. Holland, and others like him know the bereaved are a push over. Holland is after big money, just like his buddy John Edward.

DL, your above use of 'charlatan' (i.e. conscious fraud) without evidence .. and 'remember the preists ....' are unacceptible, edit your post.
