Jeez Ian. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Why the pointless attack?

Uh yes, actually. Myself and millions of people worldwide love his music.

Me too, Ariennel. Early MJ especially rocked it. And if there is any question as to the magnitude of his influence, I would start with 1500 inmates at a Prison in the Philippines and work backwards from there.

Can't say I like it from what I've heard over the last few days. A very sad indictment of millions of people then. Although it's better than rap of course (or whatever you call it).

I have nothing against Michael Jackson at all, and it's really sad that he's died. He's not all that much older than me. But his music is just very dull and boring.

Well, I respect your opinion on his music, Ian, but that's the thing about musical tastes.... everyone has a different opinion on what's good and what isn't.

I also suspect that Michael Jackson's music is more than just about the music. It's about nostolgia. If I listened to MJ's music now, without any prior memories or knowledge of it, I'd probably not think anything of it. But he was SO HUGE when I was a kid and my family all loved and listened to his music that I have such a fondness for it.
