Seeing and hearing spirits

I just needed a place to let out some experiences I've had. This seemed like a pretty good spot. Let me know what you think, please. The first time I remember seeing a spirit is when I moved into my aunts house when I was 7. But the weirdest part about it was the ghosts seemed to be cartoonish looking. Didn't actually see a person, but animal figures. Example: One day I was up in my room playing my keyboard and at the foot of my bed I saw seal flippers clapping it's flippers. and another time I seen a fox tail on the other side of my cousins bed. It looked like it was walking down a slope or stairs that I couldn't see. I was waiting for it to pop out at the foot of the bed but it didn't. Still to this day I still see things, most of the time I get scared. I can hear ghosts talking and sometimes calling my name, but usually it takes the voice of a family member who are still alive. I read about the psychic hearing stuff and they say you usually hear it inside your head, but i don't it's just like actually hearing someone thats there. I don't want to be scared of it anymore because I think I might be able to help them or know the future. I told the spirits not to talk to me because they scare me but now I kinda miss the voices. But didn't usually happen all the time. If you have any comments please post. Thanx for reading!

I have been seeing spiritually all my life and more so as I get older and wanted to understand what I saw and know where it came from. My children see spiritual things. I agree, spiritual visions can look like lights, shapes, people of all colors and shapes and sizes, animals, writing on ceilings and walls. The important thing to know is that you are not crazy. These things exist with us at all times, we can only see them sometimes. Do not be afraid, they cannot hurt you. It is extremely frightening to see things spirutiually but there is a Higher Source to protect you. You see these things for a reason. It really is a gift. Gifts can be difficult - they come with responsibility. You see visions and you need to talk about it with safe people. This does not necessarily mean a therapist or a pastor or a priest, have faith and you will find your companions. We are not small pathetic beings stuck in bodies, we are magnificent beings of light volunteering for service here on Earth. Keep asking In Love for protection and help in your experiences if they frighten you. Love is like spirit, you cant see it or feel it or touch it, but we all know it's real. Don't give up, demand truth from your Guardian Angels, or Spirit Guides (whichever term appeals to you). Demand assistance in the Name of Love and Light and you will get it. I have so much respect for anyone undergoing this spiritual journey and I will send you my loving prayers if that is ok.

Thank you Carla for your encouraging words. My mom and grandmother have this gift also. It's just frustrating for me because I don't know how to deal with it and really don't fully understand it. I don't mind hearing the voices as much as seeing a spirit. But I do not hear them all the time. But I do hear them more frequently then when I was younger. I also have dreams that do come true, but can't tell which ones will. That is scary because sometimes I will have bad dreams and I pray that nothing bad will happen to my family. And alot of deja vu. But thank you for replying it's really nice to know what people have to say. Whether it be good or bad.

Hello Shay and Carla,
Quite the experiences as you both describe. Curse or a blessing takes on new meaning when the experiences are uncomfortable or not well understood. If you don't already do so, view the programs Medium and Ghost Whisperer. Some of the things shown, not all of course, I've experienced to some degree. Finding anyone to talk with on those experiences is difficult, as one does get strange looks of "oh oh". Have a blogs that touches on various aspects of these unusual situations. I look at these occurrences as a gift, and they occur due to vibrational harmonies one has toward these happenings. There are some freebies on this site and I list a few that may help develop a greater understanding of what is taking place.

I see spirits every day of my life just about. I remember a time when I was like a vortex and a whirlwind of spirits where sinking into me...Billions of trillions of zillions of spirits. They were flooding my body. Who that heck am I these days?

No worry...I am me as I chose to be.

I will without a doubt return here, as there is so much more I wish to discuss.

shay_angel78, my husband had an experience quite like yours. he used to have a sort of cartoon crocodile friend when he was very young. he says it was there plain as day. he talked to it and they played. he wasn't scared of it at all. when he got just a little older the crocodile thing left and he did begin talking with a man. he says he always had a uniform on. my mother in-law was a little worried that he talked to something she couldn't see. my husband described the man to her and told her his name and so she checked in to it and found a picture of the man who was a soldier and who was of course dead. he had some other interesting things but, i thought i'd mention it as is sounded similar to the cartoon-ish thing you were speaking of. good luck with the new challenges you are facing.

I saw my spirit guide for the first time I can remember at age 6. I too also have seen animals. What I have come to learn is that they are first called apparitions, and they appear for a reason. The reason they appear is for you to discover..but they are there for a reason. I definately understand your fear of them..there have been some that have scared me. I deal with them by telling them how they can appear in a way that will not scare me..i also suggest taking some deep breaths, ground yourself, and then figure out what they are there for. If you haven't learned how to ground yourself yet..that will truely help. Overall, all of this takes getting use to and can cause fear, but the more you get use to it the easier it gets. Hey I still get scared at times..i have just learned how to deal with it now and so will youin time. Keep your head up and try and try again! Good luck!

A few days ago while I was eating supper I had seen a black figure walk into my hallway. I didn't get scared I just kept eating because ever since I moved in this house a few strange things have happened. I've been living here for a year now so I'm used to what is going on. I do get chills once in awhile. But I have asked the spirits not to bother me and I will do the same.

But the question is...Was this a warning sign, because just yesterday I recieved news that my Aunt had passed away. She passed at 11:30 am Central time yesterday morning. Did she come here or another family member who has already passed come and try to tell me something??? I don't usually see spirits in my house, I just hear alot of things. Mostly music playing or on a few occassions I have heard someone whisper my name.

The reason I had asked the spirits not to bother me is because one day my son was crying and I had heard a man tell him to shut up. This had upset me and I told the spirit to get used to us living here. I don't really know what to do about that either. Other than that they haven't been mean or anything.
