Exclamation What is Fox trying to tell me?

Hi there,

I would really appreciate some help. My husband and I split up in may (my choice) as I was angry about his lack of desire/ability to provide for our two small children and his general lack of interaction with them and me at home. To my shame I also had my head turned by another man, who in many ways is the exact opposite to my husband.

Basically, I really regret what I've done and have repeatedly tried to work things out with my husband who did come back a couple of months ago but it only lasted 3 days and now he doesn't want to know. I am now seeing this other man again but can't let go of my husband.

What I would like help with is with what fix is trying to tell me.. I've seen a fox, in person, so to speak twice while I've been with this man and I keep seeing foxes in shops/books/tv. Any ideas?

Thanks for reading all that!

Xx

Well, the fox has long been seen as a trickster figure- maybe something is letting you know there is some sort of trickster element at work in your life. I don't know, I'm just winging it. Perhaps Limbo can offer some insight as to what might be going on.

Thanks for that - the trickster view makes sense... Just got to try and figure out who it is... Or maybe it's me? X

The trouble is with you not some fox. See a marriage counselor, a psychotherapist.

Well, yeah, sure I know that! I just have an interest in animal symbolism and the messages that synchronicity may have for us. But thanks anyway x

Oh and am having psychotherapy and have asked if my husband would see a marriage counsellor a number of times - he always says no.

I'm sure there must be someone that marriage counseling has worked for but I don't know of anyone. You need to realize that really is a skeptic and thinks things like this are a bit silly. Make sure you check back to this thread though. There's a user named Limbo who might be able to offer some worthwhile insight. He's impressed me with his knowledge of Jung and archetypes.

You misspelled Fox.

I note your spelling error and I wonder...is it a Freudian slip? Are you hoping that the Fox will 'fix' everything?

Many years ago when I was a young man I was involved with a married woman. Her husband was abusive and she wanted a divorce. I fell in love with her, only to have her change her mind and move away with her husband.

The fox might be synchronicity. It might help you to decide, or it might not. You might have to do it the old-fashioned way.

I did an I-Ching reading for you. I got hexagram 57:

Sun / The Penetrating Wind

Wind follows upon wind, wandering the earth, penetrating gently but persistently:

The Superior Person expands his influence by reaffirming his decisions and carrying out his promises.

Small, persistent, focused effort brings success.
Seek advice from someone you respect.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

Gentle persuasion is the key in this instance.
Though the words are soft, their speaker must be firm, calm and confident.
Gentle words are worthless if spoken with trepidation.
Wordless influence by example is also effective in this situation.
All persuasion should be almost unfelt, yet consistent and persistent.
Ask for feedback from someone you know to be an effective persuader.

Thanks limbo, I didn't even notice the spelling error! Definately think I'm looking for someone or something to fix this for me on some level.

Interesting I Ching reading, so thanks again. I don't think I've been very subtle on the persuasion front so that is worth taking notice of.... And am definately not confident - in either the outcome or how to get there
