Can anyone explain this to me????

When I was about 9 or 10 it started. At first I thought it was the house. I would hear something strange at night then I would sit on the edge of my bed. I would hear like a loud vibration that had different tones. I would see like a dirty looking snowball going past my head. It sounded like it was going around me w/ the tones. As it would go by it would gain speed and get larger and then the sound of it would change. It scared me to death but it's like i would go in to a trance and not be able to move. I felt scared inside but sorta like mesmerized. This went on the whole time I lived in this house (about 8or9 months) then still went on at the new house which was only a block or so away. All my life I have wondered about what this was. Eventually there were what I thought to be voices in it. Although I couldn't make out what was being said. Sometimes it sounded like my own voice and sometimes it sounded like my mom. I've been wondering about this all my life. I hope someone can offer some perspective. Thank you!

Does this still happen? If so I would suggest that during an encounter try to notice if there are any mental impressions that you might have recieved. Are there any images, verbal phrases, or knowledge, that seem to stick in your mind. That is often the way phychic communication happens.

Also, have you tried to communicate with it? You might ask it what it wants and see what happens. Again, any response might occur as mental impressions.


The vibrations and tones might be an attempt at a form of communication. Sometimes spirits will use some type of sound and modulate it to generate voices. This happens when spirits use white noise to generate voices on tape recorders ( this is called EVP electronic voice phenomena.) and other types of ITC (instrumental trans communication) There was also a medium who would play music on the piano and spirits would use that sound to superimpose their voices on the music.

Have you had other types of unusual experiences?

I hate to make wild guesses, but it also sounds like it might be related to ufo phenomena. All sorts of strange paranormal things are reported on the fringes of close encounters, Sometimes people experience an encounter with aliens but remember it as something different, this is called a screen memory. The correct memory can sometimes be regained through hypnosis but I don't know enough to advise you on how to find a reputable hypnotist.

this hasn't happened to me in a long time. i am 33 now. but when it first started happening there was something else strange. i had this doll that sat on a shelf next to my bed. the shelf was angled in. it was a book shelf. nothing could fall off it. for some reason i was staring at this doll. it turned and looked at me before leaning forward and falling off the shelf. i always thought that something else made it do this. until recently. it occurred to me that maybe i did it. i know it sounds far fetched. but it just feels like the right answer for some reason. i don't recall trying to communicate with the large snowball. however i have wondered about physic occurrences all my life. as a very young child i always tried and wanted to move things with my mind. and myself and my brother have often wondered if we had ever been taken. i recently began trying to open up my mind. i use holosync technology to help me meditate and have begun to delve deeper in to my mind. i wonder if this is why i can't stop wondering about this particular situation.

thank you. there is some interesting information on that site. i have also wondered if it had something to do with the area i lived in. i lived on donner summit, you know the donner party? they had to resort to cannibalism to survive. they were sooooo many deaths when they tried to cross the sierra nevada's. i just wonder if it made for a whole lot of unsettled energy. just a thought i guess.

Is it possible that you were hallucinating, or dreaming? I know that when you're quite tired (this has happened to me a number of times) you're more likely to experience auditory and visual hallucinations. Additionally, if you're quite tired, the dreams you have are much more visual.

Along the line of dreams, it could've been a waking dream, which people have not infrequently (this is the basis for the Chest-Hag phenomenon, and manifests more often these days as a perceived "alien" encounter). You feel like you're awake, even though you aren't; it can be quite convincing.
